COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY

Our MicroNeedling DP4 device provides deep collagen induction therapy to improve all types of acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles. The minimally invasive procedure aims to also tighten, lift and rejuvenate the skin. The Aesthetic Skin Clinic tailors each treatment individually and infuses a range of ingredients such as Vitamins, Minerals, Growth Factors, Peptides, Hyaluronic Acid and blended/straight medical peels to further enhance your results. Beautifully combined with LightStim LED therapy for best results.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Collagen Induction Therapy is great for a wide range of skin conditions. The procedure will improve the appearance of:

  • Uneven tones and texture

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Acne scars

  • Lack-lustre dull skin

  • Stretch Marks

Is the Collagen Induction Therapy Procedure painful?

Patients can experience mild discomfort throughout the treatment however the treatment itself only lasts approx 5 minutes. A soothing treatment mask is applied on the skin which instantly takes away any feelings of discomfort.

How does micro-needling work?

Our micro-needling CIT device works by creating micro wounds into the skin (dermis) which triggers a series of reactions to create and stimulate new collagen and elastin production.

Is there any downtime after the treatment?

Patients will experience mild erythema for up to 24hours with no further discomfort. Sun exposure is to be avoided for 24-48 hours post treatment.

When will I notice results?

Your skin will look dewy, bright and luminous instantly after your treatment and results can be seen approx 4-6 weeks post treatment. For true collagen induction for scar revision and wrinkle reduction results will take at least 3 months as collagen can take up to 3 months to form within the skin.

How many sessions will I need?

We will always suggest a course of 3-6 treatments for best results. Micro needling can be performed in combination with our medical peels, lasers, light therapy and enzyme therapies therefore your skin specialist will advise you of your tailored treatment program in your initial skin consultation.

How often should I be having treatments?

Micro needling can be performed once every 6-8 weeks apart depending on what condition we are trying to improve.
